I've found several avatars that I really like with animation, however, when I save them to my computer and try to open they no longer have the animation. What am I doing wrong? I don't think this is related to D-Live but something I'm screwing up. Just thought you smart guys/gals might help me with it since DLive is where I want to post the AV. Thanks!!!

Here's a related question: Is there an easy way to reduce the size of an animated GIF file without losing the animation?

yes, if you have the program you can resize it. If you want I can do it for you just email me the pic.

I cant get to my uploader. I don't want to loose all my pictures.

1- make sure you are saving the pics as gif files to your PC

2- Fireworks works great for resizing gifs (use the export wizard).

3- We have a new uploader, old files were imported over.

Your files from your old account was copied to your new one. Are you still having problems getting into the new uploader program?

Only on my computer at work...so it must obviously be something "set" wrong on that computer. I'll work on it. Thanks!!!

I use paint shop pro with / animation shop.... if i can find a animated gif i made I'll HAVE to use it as my avatar. i think i have it saved in gmail somewhere.

Links to your gmail attachments arent going to work. Not unless you want to give out your login/password to everyone so they can check it out.

Otherwise, we do have this very handy attachment feature that you can use.

I am fairly good with photoshop and dreamweaver/fireworks. I can help if one of the pros cant get to you.

When I try to save images from google sometimes it says ART instead of jpeg. and I cant bring it back up. What do i do?

If it's the image file, just renamed (wierd) you can try and renaming the file to .jpg -- just right click the file and click "rename".
I am fairly good with photoshop and dreamweaver/fireworks. I can help if one of the pros cant get to you.
Then I expect participation when we start doing chop threads again :cool:
