New @ Food World
Has anyone been to Food World lately and noticed a big box for DVD rentals? I ran in there yesterday and noticed it while checking out. Of course it peaked by curiousity. I rented Walk the Line for only $1.66. All you have to do is touch the screen pick the title you want to rent and then swipe your credit/debit card and then the movie pops out of the slot. You have until 12:00am the next night to return it-just pop it in the same slot you got it from. I thought it was pretty neat-the cheapest I've had to pay to rent a movie in a long time-and NO hassle!

Interesting, I have not noticed one. How does the machine know when you return the DVD? Does it have a late fee charge?

The late fee is .99. I am not exactly sure how the machine knows when you return it, but I will update tomorrow after I return the movie tonight. Its sitting right next to the change machine-coinstar I think is the name of it.

I refuse to go into Food World now that Super Wal-Mart has opened. They made lots of good money for many years by keeping their prices high & now when the new supercenter has opened, suddenly they have bargains! Plus, they never kept enough registers opened & made people stand in long lines. I personally asked the management for items to be stocked over the years & they never ONCE got anything I requested. If Wal-Mart doesn't have what I need, I will drive out of town or do without. As far as the movie rental goes, my wife can go rent there, but I will continue to rent at Movie Gallery just so I won't have to grace the doors of Food World. Thanks to everyone for letting me vent.
