Has anyone been out 80 west lately and seen the sit for the new Mr.G's? It looks awfully small from the highway compared to the old place downtown. Now I know that nothing ever looks it's real size when it's just on the ground but this site looks maybe half a the size it should be. I guess looks are deceiving.

Where exactly on 80 is this? If it is the place beside Ben Sherrod's oil change place, it certainly looks way too small.

I really wish they'd reopened downtown instead. I already miss the old location!

The place by the lube outfit is Jackie Poole's new bbq restaurant. Now if we can just get an Applebees, IHOP, or maybe a Logans in Demopolis.

I don't think new restaurants have to be "chains" to be good. I'd be happy with some new local restaurants that were up to that caliber though.

I agree. we just need some restaurants that are clean, have good service, good food and friendly help. We especially need a nighttime place, someone open in the evenings where you can sit down, enioy a good meal other than fried chicken, pizza, or fried fish. Something along the lines of some of the chains as far as menu goes would be good. We could stand even a restaurant like Shoney's with a hot bar, salad bar, and buffet. Right now our night choice's are pizza, burgers, pizza, mexican, pizza, chinese, or Red Barn, the latter being the best.
