about the local highschool there

we have a son who is a junior in h.s and loves to skateboard are there skateboarders there and how is the school do they have regular classes or are the block classes only 4 classes a day. thank you

Regular classes. IO'm not sure about the skateboard scene, but there is a skatebard park located on the river(within walking distance of N Walnut). DHS is one of the finest schools in West Alabama.

The "skatepark" is located in the tennis courts by the civic center, if I'm not mistaking. Just a couple of blocks from where you'll be moving.

I graduated from DHS not too long ago, and at that time there was several people who enjoyed the skateboard scene. So, I'm sure that number has even grown by now, but I'm not for sure. And to put a note in for DHS: It is a great school and Demopolis certainly has the best system within the immediate area. I'm about to graduate from college and they provided me with a great education.
