look out for snakes
Just a heads up for people, the snakes are out. I live in the middle of town,
and saw a snake today working in the yard. It was a cotton mouth about a foot long. The way I see snakes (The only good snake is a dead snake.)So keep a look out while out an about in the yard or woods. It has gotten warm so they are moving.

Re: look out for snakes
Most snakes fulfill a service to our environment such as eating rodents. Your chances of being bitten by a snake are a lot less than being hit by a speeding car. They do deserve respect but most are not poisonous and most are more afraid of you than you of them. Most assumed to be moccasins are actually harmless water snakes that are very similar. We see a lot of them at our studio with it being located on the backwaters of the river.

Thank you fleming! we defiantly see eye to eye on this subject. there's only 3 or 4 species in Alabama that are poisoness, well most are poisonsess but deadly or even need of treatment, if im correct. And i'd rather have a chicken snake in the yard than mice in the house on any day!
