hello, this is a reminder that this is animal shelter week, (2-9 nov ) please go visit the dogs, even if you're not planning on adopting one. they need to be walked , etc. but, more than anything else, they need to know that demopolis cares. do you ??? thanks, duck

having an animal as company can improve your life and for widows can show alot of affection where it is not so lonely. check it out at least. you never know you could find a best friend. As JB says " a dog is as good as any man".

My wife a good while back went to the shelter and picked up a little fuzzy black and white border collie mix. I kind of had my doubts at first due to where the dog came from, but she ended up being one of the smartest, well-behaved dogs I have evere seen.

I have a dog now, a little rat terrior, and I can say that it is worth it to have a pet. They are loyal, great friends.
