The Demopolis High School Water Girls

What do you think when you come to a DHS football game and you see four young ladies standing on the side lines delivering water to the football players? These four young ladies are Brittany Mc Gee, Timie Lee, India Chancelor, and Dorothy Knapp.

I really like the idea of having water girls for the football team. I haven't seen or read anything about ours, so I figured it is time we give these Ladies some props! They are there working hard before the game and after. They fill all the water bottles and refill them, and also deliver them to the players. This is a much harder job than you think. Maybe we can take a picture and write an article and post it on here or maybe even the Demopolis Times will do one. I think it is time that these Ladies get some attention and thank you's from the fans and everyone else. These four ladies , Brittany Mc Gee, Timie Lee, India Chancelor, and Dorothy Knapp, are also a part of the 2003 State Champion Softball Lady Tigers.

Do any others out there feel that these ladies need ot be given their props? I strongly feel that they do!! Next time you see one of these four ladies tell them thanks for all that they do! Thanks Girls!!

What's up BIG JIM! I really miss you in class. You are right about the water girls. They take alot of pride in everything they do. India, Brittany, Brandy & Dorothy also come to the field on Wednesday's and help me paint the tiger in the center of the field. This has created a deaper bond with more of the student body, that is the female athletes. They respect the play of the football team and I believe this will be returned during softball season. These ladies are real class acts. I have REALLY ENJOYED being around them and getting to know them. They know I love them all and would do anything for them. I'm glad someone else is calling attention to the great job they do.

Hey DHSMOM! I miss being at the high school! College is ok, but not as fun as high school! I have a really good math teacher right now! He is really awesome. He usually spends at least 30 mins of class time helping me! Have a good rest of the year!!

The water girls at Marengo also attend daily practices from the beginning of the season in the hot summer as well. I am sure those girls at DHS do as well.
