I wanted to let you guys know that I had lunch at Ellis V today and it was a pleasant surprise. The menu is varied with pasta, seafood, sandwiches, and salads. A lot of the food is more "upscale," but they do have more "down home" food featured as daily specials. I had the cuban sandwich and my husband had the shrimp linguine. I also enjoyed the black bean soup. We both agreed that everything was very good. I had a look at the dinner menu which is an expanded version of the lunch. Looks like they have something for everyone. The salad bar is gone and there is new paint on the wall. They are still fine tuning everything, but we had good, timely service. It's a nice change of pace from the norm and I encourage you guys to give them a shot. Happy Eating!
My girlfriend works at Ellis' and she said that the only two differences between the old Ellis' and the new are the menu and the time it takes to get your food.Yes,they did redo the inside, and it looks 1000% better. But the one thing people got to understand is that for better food it takes a little longer to prepare.

And we all know that Demopolis can definitely use some "new" good places to eat out. We'll be trying Ellis V very soon!
Peace!
