U.S. Senator Richard Shelby will have his annual visit to Marengo County on Saturday, January 31st, 2004 at 2:30 p.m., in the basement classroom of the Outpatient Clinic at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.
Senator Shelby's office called me yesterday to have the meeting at the VFW Post. Due to other committments, our building was unavailable. Last year his visit was at the Depot Restaurant in Linden and it was very crowded. Attendence at his meetings are growing each year. Details should be in area newspapers in a few days.
This is the one chance this year to hear in person what Senator Shelby has on his mind and for him to hear what is on yours. His aids take notes on what is discussed and conducts followup calls to answer your questions. The classroom at the hospital should also have an overflowing crowd. EVERYONE IN MARENGO COUNTY HAS THE RIGHT TO ATTEND THIS MEETING AND HAVE THEIR COMMENTS HEARD. I shouted that to make sure EVERYONE understands.
