Y'all know anything about the proposed waterwaste system for Demopolis ? Was wondering where it might be located and if it really will come to fruition.

They are calling it "proposed wastewater system improvements".

I'm not sure where the improvements will be at, but after it's done, anyone not hooked to the sewer system in the city limits will be required to pay the $500 hookup fee. They also say (this may be true now) that the sewer and water bills will be related in that if you don;t pay your sewer bill your water will be cut off.

There was an article in the Demopolis Times (I think), same issue that announced our glorious new one cent tax, that explained what the proposal was and had a map showing where it would be located.
