101 year old Brister Waiters is still missing. According to WSFA his scent was picked up by tracking dogs near a swamp about a mile from his house, but the trail went cold.

At 101 years old,you wouldn't think that he would be able to go that far away from his house own his own.Something about this just doesn't sound right to me.

Bless his heart, that is so sad. That is a terrible fear of mine that one of my grandparents will wander.

They now have GPS watches that people can wear, hopefully this technology will be more widely used in the future. I'm looking into possibly getting one for my grandfather.

Tuscaloosa News quoted Sumter County Sheriff Johnny Hatter as saying the man was found less than 1/2 mile from his home. The reason he was not found on the initial search is because beavers had dammed up the creek and the water level was high.

Here's a link to the story on Tuscaloosa News website.
