Speed detector

Most Demopolites are familiar with the relatively new speed detection (trailer mounted) device that tells you your speed. They affix a "speed limit" sign on top of it.

A week age, It was placed on Marengo Dr to monitor the east or south bound lane (away from country club lane) and the speed limit sign said 30 MPH.

Today, they moved it across the street to monitor the traffic going toward Country Club Lane and the sign says " Speed Limit 25 MPH".

I suppose it is legal to have different speed limits on opposing lanes, (hard to imagine) but I think this may be a PD error. Nowhere in Marengo Hills will you find a 25 MPH speed limit sign and when not posted, a 30 MPH limit exist in residential areas.

May be someone with the PD (hint 501) can check this out. Not a big deal in the overall scheme of things but!!!!!!!!!

I noticed that too. I just thought it was because of the Rodeo going on.

I noticed this also for the past few days on my way to work. I'm curious to know though if the speed unit is properly calibrated. I do drive a 19 year old car to work and my speedo could be off, but I think it's over 7 mph out-of-calibration. Has anyone else noticed this? Just wondering?
