Final Fantasy 1-9 (+ Tactics)

Anyone else agree that this was an amazing series? These games were great. You can always fall back on a Final Fantasy when ytou are either broke or otherwise unable to buy a new game or are just bored of the ones you have. 7-9 are the best of these just for graphics, but i love them all.

Other games I play ocasionaly - Diablo 2, Need for speed Most Wanted, Devil May Cry, Legacy of Kain, Silent hill 1 and 2, Morrowind (I am literally the god of this game - I could make my own strategy guide and know where every item is and how to hack even better items - only on Xbox, though because i don't really have a computer).

I am not a Final Fantasy fan but I do like Need For Speed & Silent Hill. I am more of a Military Shooter Game type person. I also enjoy sports games.


I have played Final Fantasy I just couldn't get into it.

I JUST finished Final Fantasy X two nights ago. It was an AMAZING Game. My first RPG. I'm about to start X-2 and then i'm gonna go back and start at VII.

I have Oblivian but haven't started playing it yet. I'm with Ranger on the shooters. Never got into the FF games.

I've never played through any of the FF series, closest would be Mystic Quest for the SNES. I do enjoy the RPG's though, I'm really anticipating the release of FFIII for the DS.

FFX took me 100 hours to beat. :-) And I enjoyed every second.

I loved FFVIII. It was my favorite of them, but I did like X.. it was a lot of fun. Wanted to play X-2 but never got around to it.

Other games I like are RPG games, those are fun fun fun. Or hunting games >.>; Not much into shooting or racing, or sports.. hmm o.o

Yeah i never got a ps2 but i tried X at a freinds house. I hought it was bogus. I didn't care for swimming so i quit (really i didn't know how to save or heal and died on that think that jumps down on you). Does X get really good? I might need to try it.

Ten is AMAZING. great story... very epic in scope. Took me 100 hrs to beat it. I had to have a friend tell me the HOW's and Why's of playing an RPG... but once I learned the system it was VERY fun. I was sad when it was finally over. But now I'm working on Final Fantasy X - 2. I'm starting to like these RPG's. 11 was released online only -- I believe 12 is the one that is coming out next... but whatever # is next, it's going to be released on the PS3... which means I won't get to play it :-(. I heard the PS3 is NOT backwards compatible like the PS II was. Which makes me desire the console even less -- price is the main reason I won't be getting it for a WHILE.

I started with FF X. I have a friend who has all of the FF 1-9 except 3 and VII (he gave 7 away to a very close friend when she was leaving fior air force). so I'm going to start playing these other final fantasy's when I get done with X-2. Anyone want to talk about these series? I'm interested!

I'd also be interested if any of you know where I could buy any of these old games.

Well, all of my coppies are old - I bought them durring the FF hayday when i was a young teen. I love the series dearly, but the disks often stop working, causing me to destroy something and then buy a new copy. Seeing new copies is getting rarer and rarer, especially now that game stop DOES NOT buy PS1 games anymore.

That sucks that they don't buy PS1 games... stupid even... I think the PS2 is going to remain pretty popular even after the PS3 debut's... and people can still use their PS2 to play those PS1 games.

I heard that the PS3 is not backwards compatible like the PS2 was -- THAT will cause me to wait even longer to buy one.

I am about to pre-order the new Final Fantasy XII Collectors Edition... I hear the Collector's edition is preorder only -- you won't be able to get it in stores. I'm gonna preorder on gamestop.com ...

The game doesn't come out until Halloween of this year though :(
