We have had some really dry air move in and dry air heat very quickly and cools very quickly. I noticed our current dew point temperature is 56 degrees and that is much lower than last nights. The temp can't get below the dew point temp but it is a good indicator of the low. The historic low for Demopolis since 1950 (June) was 42 degrees. so......

How cool is that! (pun intended)...thank you for the info. I didn't know about the temperature and dew point temperature. I think weather is very interesting.

Dew point temperature is a measure of the moisture in the air. The lower the dew point temp, the dryer the air and vice versa. The dew point temp is the temp at which the air is 100% saturated with moisture so the actual temperature can never go below the dew point temp.
