I didn't see the whole thing, but what I did see I thought it sucked! Mainly why I didn't watch all of it.

I taped it amd watched something else. When I have some time I'll sit down and watch it, fast-forwarding thru the stuff I don't like or care to see, like rap. I read the list of winners and can't believe they award a Grammy for Best Ablum Notes or something like that. Seemed everyone cleaned-up their mouth and kept their clothes on.
Cristina Agulara (sp?) had a moment where she had to "adjust" her top, which was too low for CBS' new standards (They put a graphic on the screen to cover her while she fixed it).
Although I could really care less about awards, especially Grammys, I was pleased to learn Outkast won for Album of the year. That was one of the few, if the only album worth the price to purchase.

I watched the entire thing. I thought the performances were good, but the production of the show itself was one of the worst I've ever seen. I found it interesting that it seemed to be more about the performances than the awards. The tribute to the Beatles was very cool. To take artists from different genres and have them collaborate on a Beatles tune was the perfect way to illustrate the influence they continue to have on music today. Also, whether or not you are a fan, the funk extravaganza was impressive and entertaining. I really think if you are going to have a live show, you need to have a host to help with continuity.

I do agree with JustMe about the need for a host!! It just doesn't seem like they had it all together this year, which means that next year should probably be really good because they will be forced to make major changes!!

I think the best parts were the funk jams but George Clinton just looked like he wasn't that into it to me and then Outkast's "Hey Ya". Unfortunately I didn't get to see the first hour of the show.
I did like seeing Prince perform again, but the performance itself was terrible. Too much jumping from song to song and Beyonce was all in the middle of everything and she had to sing her song too. EKK! I really think Prince could have stood alone on that one.
What they need to do is find one good host and stick with him for a couple of years, like that other award show did with Billy Crystal.
Somebody funny, with alot of energy, like Jack Black.
Didn't he host an awards show before? I can't remember which one....maybe MTV?

Jack Black cohosted the MTV Movie Awards one year with Sarah Michelle Gellar.
