Burger King Commerical

Has anyone seen the new Wendy's commercial in which there is a guy that looks just like Tatoo from Fantasy Island? My husband and I disagreed that it wasn't in fact Tatoo. I didn't know, or had forgotten, that the guy who played Tatoo had in fact took his own life. But the actor in the commerical looks and sounds like him. I read on TV Land's message board where one poster stated that she felt that it was in poor taste for Wendy's to do this and that they shoud let Tatoo rest in peace. What do you guys think?

I was mistaken in my original post, I just saw it again and it is Burger King commerical not Wendy's.

We are talking about the exact same commerical but I am not sure what you mean when you say you can't believe they let it air. The man gets hit by a giant hamburger that falls from the crane that is moving it. But the actor that I mentioned isn't Tatoo but a look alike. Tatoo took his own life a few years back.

I have seen the commercial also but it couldn't be Tattoo because he committed suicide several years ago. Maybe it is a relative of his.

There are likenesses of deceased celebs in commercials all the time--not sure why Tattoo would be an exception.

Herve V was also in a James Bond movie. An old joke was "What kind of m&m's do they eat on Fantasy Island? ". "Der plain der plain".

This is all part of their marketing scheme. They want you to think that it is him so you talk about the commercial. Guess what, I think it worked.
