Good poll Ranger!

I enjoy my job although the politics that go w/ it gets on my nerves from time-to-time. Looking back, I wish I had attended trade school right out of high school and gone into my current field. I feel I could have learned more & possibly moved on from here.

Well I am working in a field and at the job I envisioned myself working in. One day I hope to advance into something else, but you have to start somewhere!

Well this is tricky ranger.....I love what I do, I manage an auto repair shop...which is fabulous, love the people love the mechanics... I am the Estrogen in a see of testosterone what is not to love!

Is it what I dream of doing??? NO!!

I would love to be a writer and I always loved painting. Hence why I face paint for the charities which is a fun and rewarding thing i have managed to continue for several years. But being a writer and being an artist does not pay the bills. So until then I will make my money and enjoy what I do, and do it to the best of my ability. One day when I win WSOP tour I will then retire and write my novel and paint my seascapes and relax. SIGHHHHH

I don't have a career or profession yet. But I've had a lot of different careers... since that's what we want to call a job.

In the past 6 years I've had a career in pharmacy, law, mapping, surveying, computer networking, computer repair, teaching, and music performance and composition, photography, writing, and I'm leaving something out.... but I enjoyed all of them, met some great people, and even if the money wasn't outstanding, just the time spent doing it was worth it.

I hope I keep this desire to keep changing. I hate settling on one thing. Which is why I'm majoring in two different things. I'll have a lot of options, but I think I'm going to start out with something I feel comfortable in, and eventually move to teaching. I love the educational environment -- preferably the university or high school setting.

I love my job, I get to work with landowners, our local volunteer firefighters, our local citys and towns and I get to drive the taxpayer's 4x4 truck, bulldozier.
The state politics can be nerve racking at times, but overall I love talking to landowners about thier dreams for their property and help them to achieve those dreams. Working with the communities is always fun. Did I mention going to schools and talking to the older kids about forestry and doing fire prevention, I love doing the Smokey Bear fire prevention programs in the elementary schools, the kids love Smokey.
My job doesn't pay what I think it should, but I love doing a variety of things, day to day the jobs are different. At least I am not in one of those paper mills standing on concrete all day (of course those guys make alot more money than I do). Being on fire-call 24/7 is not always fun either, but overall I LOVE MY JOB!!!

It's the most rewarding job, with rewards that never end. I'm coming to the end of mine. My son is so close to being grown it's heartbreaking. I know I will always be their mom, and grandma to their kids. But, I've noticed since my daughter is grown we are close friends. But they will always be my babies. Now I would like to find a job or go take some college courses. Or not! I'm gonna see what God has in store for me the next few years.
I know what you mean about soaps. So stupid!

I love my job! I get to work with the public and they actually pay me to run over stuff with a bulldozer and set stuff on fire! Seriously though, it is rewarding to help people reach their goals with their property. My only regret is that I did not get the job 20 years ago.

There are several people at UWA that are older than the average college student.... I always like having them in class. If nothing else... they speak up & tell the professor who is their age or younger to "SLOW DOWN" :-) And now with the community college in town you wouldn't even have to leave town to take some classes.

Learning something new is always rewarding.

I love, love my job as a Labor and Delivery nurse...on most days that is. When things turn out for the good, I don't think there can be a much more rewarding job at the end of the day than knowing you helped someone bring their child into this world. However, when things go wrong...it makes my job very stressful and hard to emotionally handle at times. Overall though, I have to say that enjoy and look forward to going to work and you can't complain about that.

I don't have a career or profession yet. But I've had a lot of different careers... since that's what we want to call a job.
Weeell... a job is a job, a career is something you stick with. I've had several jobs that are computer related, lots of different jobs that weren't. My career is in the IT industry. The way I see it, a career is what you do regardless of where you work.
I enjoy my profession, but its volatile, changes constantly, any little thing can change overnight and make a big difference.
Computers and cars, if you take a break for a month or two, the world has changed by the time you start back. Its bad enough that you start to feel a tad rusty after only a week off. Nasty new bugs come out on a daily basis.

I love secretarial work. I hate where I am planted for the moment (and the past 4 years of moments).

I've spoken with God about this on several occasions.

Sometimes, I think I'm being punished, sometimes I think I'm being taught patience.

Praying for God's will in this matter. Know for sure that God isnt happy that I'm this unhappy with my job. Sacrifices we make for our kids, health insurance, etc...........argh. Humbling, to say the least.

I want to go work with them! They get to have fun! Just kidding, wouldn't trade my job with any woman, actually couldn't give my job to any woman. It's tuff but I do get to work with all men! Just don't tell my hubby cause he thinks I work with all women! lol!! My job is fun and a lot of hard work but everything just seems to come together at the end of the day! One thing I will say, men are great to work with, they act just like women do but after you cuss each other out, it's over! There is no more na-nay behind backs, it just rolls off your back and life is good! I will tell yall a little secret about men..... they absolutely adore their children and talk about them all the time. Wifes too, without saying so much that would get me killed tomorrow, most men that I work with try to talk BIG but at the end, it's always their wife they seem to think they owe everything too! So...everyone that knows me and knows I work with their hubby, go give them a kiss. They do deserve it! There is something to be said about a bunch of men that will sit around and listen to me talk about how wonderful my husband is!!!!:)

I loved my job, couldn't have picked a better career. I was a RN with a state funded program for 1st time teen pregnancies, worked with them and then their babies until they were two years old. Very rewarding. At the beginning 85% were on welfare, by the end only 20% were. All finished High school, went on to college or went to work. One day our great State of Alabama decided to pull the grant money for my program saying these teens didn't need the help. So...I decided I didn't need to work for the state any longer. Retired early, work part time and volunteer.
