View Full Version : Demopolis Times on a diet?

Real Deal

I have bought a paper every morning this week. It has taken me a combined total of 12 minutes to read anything worth reading in this slimmed down little pamphlet of a so called newspaper. Some of the content is good, some of it I could care less about, there is just not enough there for me to justify buying it anymore. I find it hard to believe that many folks in Demopolis are interested in what MMI's girls basketball team is doing and I find it equally hard to believe that anyone in Marion gives a poot about some old lady's house decorations in Demopolis. Come on D-Times, give us something worth reading (and buying).

Looks to me like both Marengo County papers are on a diet.

If you dont want to buy it read it online at www.demopolistimes.com but if everyone did that they porbably wouldn't be able to operate anymore.

They've addressed this issue in the paper. Basically, they kept the subscription price the same, while giveing you more news items per week--including more Demopolis news. Some papers have more interesting items than others. They've expanded their coverage area to 5 counties. I don't see them ignoring or missing any stories here to cover something in Greeneboro or Livingston. It's just a matter of finding news in a town were not a whole lot happens most of the time.
